Oh dear............

Well, I wrote my last exam for this semester today and what a disaster! The Multiple Choice was horrible, really tricky and as for the essay questions, terrible. There were some good parts and some bad parts, but no good parts together, so I really battled to find a question to actually answer. In the end I just went eeny meeny, miny, mo! Now I am sure I answered the wrong ones! I had worked quite hard but there was just so much, and so many different theories! Oh well, not much I can do about it now apart from start learning for the supplementary!

End of year aims

I was well behaved last night and studied hard, so didnt get to update on here. Work is also hectic, which means that I am really a bit stressed!
Our prompt yesterday was to blog our goals. I have really got a lot going on at the moment, what with the end of the school year, so have quite a few goals. Aside from the obvious one of studying and passing my exam on Monday, I think my main goal is to sort out my bedroom. I am a terrible hoarder and have got so much junk. It has got to the stage where I cant actually find anything! So, now I need to do something about it. I aim to have sorted the room out totally by the start of the school holidays (11 December) It might sound like a long time to sort out one room, but what with the end of the school year, full time lecturing for the next 4 weeks, teachers presents to sort out, stationery to sort out as well as Christmas Cards, presents etc, I think the more time I give myself the better. I will post a before and after picture as soon as I have done it! So watch this space!

Why is it?

That as soon as I remove comment moderation, I get an advert for Viagra! Grrr! I have had a good, but busy weekend. I did manage to get quite a bit of studying done, and cooked a yummy roast chicken for supper tonight. Wont say anything about the vegetables, which  I managed to burn, were lovely and crisp . Oh well, you win some, you lose some. I am off to bed soon, as Brenda has swimming squad at 6:20am tomrrow, so got an early start! Looking forward to tomorrows prompt now. I have learned quite a lot, including how to put my nice new signature on at the bottom of the post. Here is wishing everyone a good week. And please pop over to Mckmama's blog as her little boy needs lots of prayers this week! I have been following her site since she was pregnant with Stellan, and it is truly an incredible story!

Skywatch Friday

Today the prompt was about photos. I have been wanting to join in with Skywatch Friday for a while, but never seemed to remember on a Friday. Today, we had a storm, so I thought the sky afterwards was good for this theme.

This was taken from the top of our driveway, just as the storm was finishing.

Favourite Foto Friday #69

The theme this week for FFF is Black and White. I cannot get either of my photo editing programmes to work tonight, so have gone for an old one which I have on my computer in black and white. I love this photo it was taken about 2 years ago just after Christmas.

So hop on over to Hannah's blog to see some more cute Kiddos!

Little Monkey

It probably sounds quite funny to most of you, but we have a terrible problem with Monkeys in our area! Not all of them are as cute as this little guy!
Every morning and evening they travel over our house, it is quite cute to watch the little babies! They come into the house and steal things, they tease the dogs, eat any fruit growing in the garden, frighten away all the wild birds and have even been known to attack bird cages for seeds. Things that have dissapeared recently  include a packet of biscuits, a sugar bowl, one of Brendas toys and a big packet of sugar that was dropped at the entrance to our kitchen and smashed. The last few weeks have been quite bad, but on Sunday the funniest thing happened. I heard a crash in the kitchen and went running through to the kitchen. Nothing was amiss, but then I heard an indignant screech and something dropped outside. When I went outside a monkey had flung a toy easter egg that Brenda had gotten as a freebie across the driveway! It was quite lifelike, so he must have tried to eat it, only to find it was plastic. He was most indignant and I just wished I had a camera to record the look on his face!

Studying again

I was really unsure of what to blog for todays prompt. This is really the problem with a lot of my blogging. I sit down and can not think of anything, so write nonsense. That is unless I have a project to post. And then it hit me, my studying. This is the major change in my life recently. I have recently started doing a degree correspondence through UNISA. I have known that I had to do it for a while, but put it off because I couldn't really see the point in doing it! I started a new job in March last year and then was promoted to lecturer shortly after that. Unfortunately, (or fortunately, depending on your viewpoint) it is a requirement of my job that I either have this qualification or go about getting it, which really is what gave me the final prod to do it. Wow, what a culture shock it has been. So much work to do, which I being a very lazy student at the best of times, have really battled to fit in. It has been nice to be learning new stuff, and I can also see how I can use it at work, but it is really hectic to fit it in. I am also quite nervous as to how much I am actually able to take in and retain. Next year I plan on taking more subjects too, so things are about to get busier! I have been doing it with my friend Andria, and although we have not got around to getting together much, it is nice to have her on the other end of the line for moral support! I wrote my first exam for 16 a few years the other day, and it was really wierd to be on the other end of the table lol. I have one more exam on the 16 November, and then we start the long wait for the results. It is quite scary being a student again, and I will say that it was definitely easier the first time round!

Blogging for Scrapbookers

For those that have seen it on my sidebar, I have joined Shimelle's Blogging for Scrapbookers Class. I love Shimelles classes, even though I have not quite finished the last one that I did. I really think that I will be able to get somewhere with this one though, as I do spend a fair bit of time at the computer, so should be able to do the posts. I hope that I will learn a lot in this class about blogging and Blogger. I have already learned a few things, and it has only just started! I was supposed to do this page last night, but my computer was running a bit slow, so only posted it now!
