Favourite Foto Friday # 30

This weeks theme for FFF is Pyjama Party. Couldnt find any recent photos of Brenda in her jammies, so these are oldies. First one is from when my sister was packing for her first trip, so Brenda is in her suitcase. She was about 18 months old here, and still had her beloved dummy! Next one she is about 2 years and 4 months.
This one she was nearly 3, and is with my cousins kids. One is 1 year older, and the other is 1 year younger.
Last one is her fourth birthday.

The theme for FFF this week is your one favourite photo from this week. Didn't actually take many, so this was an easy one! This was Brenda on the boat trip at my friend Andria's little boys birthday party, with Durban Harbour in the background.

FFF theme for this week is "Fun in the sun" This was taken in January at my friend Andria's house. The kids had so much fun playing in the pool all afternoon, we had a nice time chilling out by the side!

My hometown

I had a request a week or so ago to give some information and pictures about where I live. We live on the East Coast of South Africa on the outskirts of Durban, which has about 3 million residents. The area where I live, which is Umhlanga is one of the fastest growing areas in the country, not that I think that is always a good thing! Our province (Kwazulu Natal) has such a diverse scenery and so much to do. We have a long coastline, game reserves about 2 hours to the north of us, and mountains about 2 hours to the west, so there is really a lot to offer. The first two pictures are from the Botanic Gardens
These 2 are both of Umhlanga Beach, not the main one, which I dont generally go to because it is always full of tourists, but the closest one to our house.

This one is Brenda at Gateway shopping centre which is the largest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere.

Durban has an amazing climate apart from February and March which is very, very hot and humid. The best months are probably the winter months, the weather is still warm and sunnyenough to wear t-shirts and shortsin the daytime and sometimes at night. The coldest we ever get to at night is about 6C, and that is not very often anyway. Brenda swims outside right through the year, although I find the water too cold in winter.
I have also put two slideshows on. The first one is pictures from Kwazulu Natal, starting off with Durban, then the Drakensberg mountain range, and going up into Lesotho, then a couple of Hluhluwe (shla-shloo-we)in the north and Oribi George in the south.

The second one is the Cape Province. I couldnt find that many of the rest of the country and these are the only ones that I have on my computer.

Hope you enjoyed these.

Theme for this weeks FFF was Mommy and Me. Very fitting since it is Mothers Day on Sunday. I looked for some photos of Brenda and me, and couldnt find very many, so will have to make an effort to get more taken. It is usually me doing the taking! This was my favourite of those I found, taken a few years ago.

The theme for FFF this week is having a ball. This is not Brendas favourite activity but she really loves horseriding, so put this one on. Wish we got to do it more often!
